Akure North Local Government gets a leader of the house as all the newly elected councilors inaugurated.

Today marks another history as the newly elected inaugurated unanimously voted Hon. Tolulope Adanri as the leader of the house while Hon. Princess Oluyede was voted as the deputy leader respectively.

The occasion was graced by notable party stalwarts across Akure North Local Government. Also present at the event were civil servants, traditional leaders and the well wishers of the newly inaugurated councillors.

The Chairman of Akure North Local Government, Hon. Ogunbolude Johnson has approved these appointments:

1. Hon. Dare Fadumo Emmanuel as Secretary to Akure North Local Government.
2. Mr. Bode Isaiah Ariyo as Special Adviser on Local Government Affairs
3. Hon. Dele Olowoloba as Media Aide and Spokesman
4. Comr. Olusola Gabriel as Personal Assistant to the Honourable Chairman.

These appointments take effect immediately.

Today marks a significant milestone for Ondo State as His Excellency Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa and his Deputy, Dr. Olayide Owolabi Adelami, were inaugurated as the 7th democratically elected Governor and Deputy Governor of Ondo State.

I, Hon. Ogunbolude Johnson, on behalf of my Vice and the good people of Akure North Local Government, hereby congratulate Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa and his Deputy Olayide Adelami on their inauguration.

The inauguration ceremony is a testament to the democratic process and the will of the people. Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa and Deputy Olayide Adelami’s victory was a landslide, with the duo winning in all 18 local government areas. This overwhelming support is a clear indication of the people’s confidence in their leadership.

The people are eager for change and are counting on the new administration to deliver on its campaign promises. With Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa and Deputy Adelami at the helm, there is a renewed sense of hope for a brighter future.

As the new administration begins its journey, it is clear that the people of Ondo State are united in their support. Hon Ogunbolude Johnson OJ was born into the family of Pastor Ogunbolude and Mrs Moradeke Ogunbolude in Iju, Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State, Nigeria, on Thursday, 27th May, 1982.

He had his Basic Education at St’ Michael C&S Primary School in Iju from 1989 to 1994 and His Secondary education in the same town at Elu-Iju High School Iju from 1994 to 2000.

Hon OJ, as he is fondly called, proceeded to the Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti, where he bagged a National Diploma (ND) Certificate in Marketing from the year 2002 to 2004 and experienced a year of industrial placement with the Ministry of Agriculture from the year 2004 to 2005 before venturing into politics in his quest to serve.

He also bagged a Bachelor of Science degree (BSc) in Business Administration and Management at the University of Ado Ekiti in the year 2016 to 2019.

Due to his commitment and credibility, he was appointed the Supervisor for Agriculture in Akure North Local Government under Dr Olusegun Abayomi Mimiko’s regime from 2009 to 2011.

As a Supervisory Councillor, Hallmark achievements were recorded such as the Construction of Basic Health Centres across all the 12 wards in the local government area.

Building of modern Town Hall and X-ray Centre in some notable towns.

He established Otiseese farms where a sizable number of people were gainfully employed to earn a living. This is an indication of Empowerment prioritisation.

Aside from these, coaster buses were made available for council staff mobility, and there was prompt disbursement of students’ bursaries and scholarships, to mention but a few.

This legacy and prominence as a young, vibrant dude necessitated his several awards from individuals, corporate Organisations and Institutions, amongst which was THE YOUNGEST POLITICIAN OF THE YEAR in the Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti by the Students Union body in the year 2009.

As a progressive youth and Sports lover, Hon Ogunbolude Johnson served as a football administrator under Ondo State Football Agency from the year 2023 to 2024.

He is a prominent Philanthropist, a lover of people and a friend of all. His impeccable character and undaunted generosity are sin qua non to his fortune.
As a committed and ambitious driven individual in the progressive family and Akure North Local Government, Hon Johnson has never left any stone unturned in his good stewardship, loyalty, moral inclination and rendering true allegiance to good leadership and the vulnerable citizens which has driven him to this auspicious level this day.

Comrade Adeyemi Temitope Festus Commends Akure Stakeholders on Support for Free JAMB Registration for Indigent Students

FamousNews is pleased to report on the commendable engagement between our correspondent and the National President-elect of the National Association of Akure Students (NAAS), Comrade Adeyemi Temitope Festus, regarding the ongoing initiative to provide free JAMB forms for indigent students in Akure South Local Government.

During the interaction, Comrade Adeyemi expressed deep appreciation for the support received from Akure stakeholders in driving the initiative. He particularly acknowledged the generous donation of 10 JAMB registration slots by Engineer Oluwalade Temiloluwa (Engr. Temmy) , following the exemplary leadership displayed by the Minority Leader of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olajide Johnson (Oshaprapra). Hon. Johnson, who represents Akure South Constituency 1, kickstarted the initiative with a donation of 10 free JAMB registration slots, also knowledge the interest of the Chief Press Secretary to Ondo State Governor, Hon. Adeniyan Ebenezer towards the initiative.

In his remarks, Comrade Adeyemi emphasized the importance of collective support to achieve the target of assisting over 100 indigent secondary school students in Akure South Local Government. He noted that this initiative would play a pivotal role in helping beneficiaries pursue their academic aspirations at higher institutions.

Comrade Adeyemi called on well-meaning individuals, corporate organizations, and other stakeholders to contribute to the initiative, underscoring the transformative impact it would have on the lives of the beneficiaries and the community at large.

“This initiative is a step toward breaking the cycle of more stakeholders to join us in this noble cause to ensure we meet our target and empower our future leaders,” he stated.
